Scan documents to PDF
Use your camera to scan pages with edge detection and filters.
Your files never leave your device.
How to scan a document with your phone
Allow the camera and hold your phone over the page; the edges are found automatically.
Tap the shutter, adjust the corners if needed and choose a filter such as Black & White or Enhanced colour.
Add more pages, then save them as one PDF, with searchable text if you turn on OCR.
Frequently asked questions
What if I don’t allow the camera?
You can upload photos instead; edge detection and filters work the same way.
How do I get the best scan?
Put the paper on a darker surface, use even light and hold the phone straight above the page. “Remove shadows” helps with uneven light.
Can I search and copy the text of my scan?
Yes. “Make text selectable (OCR)” is on by default when saving a PDF: it adds an invisible text layer, so any PDF reader can search, select and copy the text. Check important text, as OCR can make mistakes.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. It even works with the internet switched off.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on Android phones, iPhones, tablets and computers. Very large files may need a computer, because phones have less memory.
