How to remove blank pages from a PDF

  1. Add the PDF. Every page is checked for content automatically.

  2. Pages that look blank are selected. Move the slider to be stricter or more relaxed, and click pages to change the selection.

  3. Press “Remove selected pages” and download the PDF without them.

Frequently asked questions

How does it decide a page is blank?

Each page is drawn small and measured: if less than a set share of it has marks, it counts as blank. Specks, scanner noise and shadows at the edges are ignored.

What about the back sides of double-sided scans?

That is what it is made for. Faint show-through from the other side is usually ignored; raise the slider a little if some backs are still kept.

Can I keep a page that was selected?

Yes. Click it to unselect it before saving. Nothing is removed until you press the button.

Is a page with just a page number blank?

Usually yes, because the number covers very little of the page. Click it to keep it if you need it.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. It even works with the internet switched off.
