How to collate double-sided scans
Add the PDF of front sides and the PDF of back sides, or one PDF with all fronts followed by all backs.
Keep “Back sides were scanned last page first” ticked if you flipped the stack to scan the backs.
Press “Collate pages” and download the PDF in reading order.
Frequently asked questions
Why are my back sides in reverse order?
When you turn a stack over to scan the backs, the last sheet comes first. The tool reverses them for you.
Can I use a single PDF?
Yes, if it has all front sides first and then all back sides. It needs an even number of pages.
What if some backs are blank?
Collate first, then use Remove blank pages to drop the empty backs.
The order still looks wrong. What now?
Untick the reverse option and try again, or swap the two files if fronts and backs were added the other way round.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. It even works with the internet switched off.
