Frequently asked questions

Will the ZIP be much smaller than my PDFs?

Usually not. PDFs are already compressed inside, so zipping mainly gathers them into one file. To shrink them, use Compress PDF first.

Are the files changed?

No. Every PDF goes into the archive exactly as it is, with its original name. Files with the same name get a number added.

Can I add password-protected PDFs?

Yes. They are packed as they are and keep their passwords.

How do I open the ZIP?

Windows, macOS, Android and iPhone all open ZIP files without extra apps: double-click or tap it.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. It even works with the internet switched off.
