Frequently asked questions

Is the text still selectable?

Yes. Colours are inverted by a layer the PDF reader applies, so text, links and searching keep working.

What happens to photos and colours?

They turn into their opposite colours, like a photo negative. For reading text at night that is usually fine.

Can I invert only some pages?

Yes. Under “More options”, enter the pages to invert.

Should I print an inverted PDF?

Better not: a black page uses a lot of ink. Inverting is meant for screens.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. It even works with the internet switched off.
