Frequently asked questions
What kind of damage can be fixed?
Broken or missing cross-reference tables, wrong object positions and files cut off near the end. Pages that are truly missing from the file can’t be brought back.
Why would a PDF get damaged?
Usually an interrupted download or copy, a full disk while saving, or a program that wrote the file incorrectly.
Is my original changed?
No. You get a new, repaired copy; the original file stays as it was.
It still doesn’t work. What next?
If the file is badly damaged, download it again from where it came from. Repair can only rebuild what is still in the file.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your files stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. It even works with the internet switched off.
